Kids Art + Design Classes

Join Ginger for her fun and engaging Art + Design Classes for kids.

Ginger loves creating with our younger makers! She engages them in unique ways, exploring multiple mediums throughout a series of classes. Her small scale classes will explore drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media in various scales each class! Classes are limited to 8 students.
**Missed classes cannot be made up due to limited space

Ages 5-10 - Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:15pm
Session 1: September 4, 11, 18, 25 FULL
Session 2: October 2, 9, 16, 23
Session 3: October 30, November 6, 13, 20

Location: Ginger’s studio 573 Fairview Road #3
in Asheville at the R+W Creative Campus

Cost: $220 per monthly class series (all materials included)

Custom Lessons
any age

Custom Art + Design Experiences are unique classes for all ages.

Ginger offers lessons in drawing, painting, simple printmaking, and mixed media; and can do collaborative works with a small group if desired. Schedule multiple sessions to create a series. (all materials included)

Drawing - explore a variety of tools and mediums on different surfaces
Painting
- work with watercolor, acrylic or guache
Printmaking
- try out mono-prints, styrofoam prints, and soft-cut carved prints
Mixed Media
- create mixed media works using any/all of the above in combination

Ginger offers customized coaching from instruction to organization to to do lists / schedules for each student. Available in person and virtually, portfolio development coaching and consulting options are focused and flexible, catering to the direct needs and desires of the student and their goals.

School Residencies
prek-12

Residencies for all. Offering creative experiences that honor the story of every student.

A master teaching artist, Ginger has worked with all ages, grades and group sizes - from preschool through college level - on projects ranging in a diversity of subjects and themes. She can connect with the state and national standards, weave into current classroom conversations, and help create space for witnessing every participants voice…all through her Create + Connect process.

Ginger offers her customized residencies to schools and organizations of any size and location. Students works can range from individual pieces, to collaborative, to entire wall-sized murals.

Ginger is available locally in Asheville and is also a part of the TAPAS program through the Asheville City Schools Foundation and anywhere through other grant programs or privately funded projects. She is available to travel to other cities to deliver her one-of-a-kind residencies.

Grades K-12+ / Any number of students / Cost is dependent upon the scope of the project(s) and number of students involved.

Curriculum collaboration opportunities includes SEL, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and more.
